So, what’s in a name? Why "The Gospel of the Tub?"

The term ‘gospel of the tub’ refers to a mid-seventeenth century mania for the use of cold water. Prior to this movement, baths were considered to be a luxury or a remedy for illness.

The gospel, however, preached that bathing could be the great preserver of strength and beauty. Our brand of small batch bath and body products draws inspiration from Victorian Europe’s mania, the Gospel of the Tub.
